Overview
Scarborough Women's Centre empowers marginalized and at-risk women to become economically and emotionally independent through programs and services that promote positive change in a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment. As a Workshops & Webinars Volunteer, you will work alongside facilitators to help deliver programming on topics such as financial literacy, effective communication, family law, and more — ensuring every participant feels supported and heard.
Primary Duties
Assist with event setup and registration for in-person workshops.
Support the delivery of smooth and successful workshop sessions.
Create a welcoming and safe environment for all participants.
Moderate virtual webinars on Webex, managing participant interactions and technical flow.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal skills and a warm, welcoming presence.
Comfort with virtual platforms, particularly Webex or similar tools.
A genuine commitment to women's empowerment and gender equity.
Volunteer Requirements
Completion of the mandatory 20-hour Direct Service Volunteer Training (suggested fee of $35; subsidies available).
