Overview


TCM is a Christian-based charity that builds loving relationships to bring hope to children and families impacted by poverty, helping them rise above poverty through preventative programs, relationships, and raising leaders.

TCM is looking for mature Christians who are passionate about urban ministry and serving at TCM, ideally with a desire to learn about one or more of the communities it serves. Board members help govern a charity that builds loving relationships to bring hope to children and families impacted by poverty in five high-priority Toronto communities.


Primary Duties


  • Provide governance and oversight as a Director of TCM

  • Bring relevant expertise to the Board's work in support of TCM's mission and communities.


Qualifications


  • A mature Christian passionate about urban ministry and serving at TCM, with a desire to learn about the communities it serves

  • Some of the following experience: leadership and/or board service (corporate or nonprofit); fundraising or marketing; finance, legal, or general management; or Christian ministry leadership.


Details


  • Candidates are evaluated by a Nomination Committee, recommended to the Board, and voted in as official members at TCM's Annual General Meeting. Please contact volunteer@givingbread.ca for more information.
