Overview
TCM is a Christian-based charity that builds loving relationships to bring hope to children and families impacted by poverty, helping them rise above poverty through preventative programs, relationships, and raising leaders.
The Outreach Worker works alongside existing Outreach Workers to plan and oversee community programs that build relationships with families, including KIC (Kids in Community) after-school, EPIC (Education Provided in Community) tutoring, TLC (Teens Leading Community) leadership, and Sonshine Day Camp during March Break and summer.
Primary Duties
Confidently lead large groups of kids/youth and volunteers across school-year and summer programs, and oversee program registration
Recruit, direct, and provide personal and spiritual support to a team of volunteers, interns, and placement students, and schedule program events and volunteer support
Provide mentorship and discipleship to youth in the Teens Leading Community program, and reach out to and support parents, including handling incidents and concerns
Connect with local partners such as community organizations and churches, order program resources, and submit monthly reports
Participate in staff meetings and training, and contribute to TCM's blog, newsletter, and social media
Qualifications
A post-secondary degree or diploma (candidates actively pursuing one may be considered) and 2+ years of related experience in a similar leadership role
A strong personal spiritual life and commitment to Jesus Christ, with active participation in a local church body
Confidence in relational ministry, excellent leadership, and strong organization, conflict-management, and problem-solving skills

May involve high-stress environments, some travel within the GTA, and hours outside the typical schedule
Salary plus benefits on a faith-support model: the successful applicant commits to raising 100% of their salary and gathering a personal support team
