Overview
Scarborough Women's Centre welcomes community-hosted "external events" run by supporters on SWC's behalf. These can take many forms — golf tournaments, barbecues, concerts, 50/50 draws, or seasonal drives such as a pumpkin or Christmas drive. A single external event can raise around $2,000/year for SWC's programs and services.
Primary Duties
Plan and run a third-party fundraising event with your church, organization, workplace, or network on SWC's behalf
Choose a format that fits your group — e.g., golf tournament, barbecue, concert, 50/50 draw, or a seasonal drive
Promote the event and rally participants, donors, or sponsors from your community
Direct proceeds to SWC to support its programs for marginalized and at-risk women
