Overview
The May Games are Coming!
In the past, our community raised funds by hosting a bowlathon. We laughed, we cheered, and we showed up for one another until the bowling alley was turned into a condo. Our bowlathon then turned into Twist and Sip, another fun way to bring the community together to raise funds for L'Arche Toronto, and now it is time to put away the dancing shoes, tie up the running shoes, and get ready for our new fundraiser—the May Games!
It starts on Victoria Day! A torch will be lit, and it will visit each house and program in the week leading up to the May Games on Sunday, May 24. It will be a fun event, playing carnival-style games open to people of all ages and abilities, with competition for fun prizes. We hope to raise $25,000 for things that the government doesn’t fund, like supports for the changing needs of core members, community life, improving compensation for assistants, and our Sol Express and TIFS programs.
