Overview
L'Arche Toronto is seeking a vibrant, open-minded individual to join its volunteer advisory Board of Directors, with an expertise or background in Human Resources. As a director, you join an active board supporting the organization in living its mission and values and achieving its strategic objectives.
Primary Duties
Provide advisory and strategic input in areas such as finance, policies, and risk
Support and provide oversight on national and international L'Arche policies and initiatives
Be welcomed into the L'Arche Toronto community, attending community events and building relationships within it
Act as an advocate for L'Arche Toronto within the broader community
Volunteer Requirements
A 3-year term with a minimum of 2.5 hours per month, including preparation for and attendance at 10 board meetings per year (additional time may be needed between meetings)
Meetings are held virtually, with typically three in-person meetings a year in east Toronto
Submit a resume and cover letter explaining your interest; applications are accepted on a rolling basis
