Overview
As an Events Coordinator, you will play a key role in bringing WeTogether's mission to life through community gatherings. From holiday dinners to outreach events, you will help design and execute experiences that renew hope and strengthen belonging for adults, children, families, immigrants, and the homeless in the Jane & Finch community.
Primary Duties
Work with the WeTogether team to design and plan events aligned with its mission.
Handle event logistics, including venue booking, scheduling, outreach, materials, volunteer coordination, and on-site setup.
Collaborate with local partners, churches, and businesses to support event needs.
Assist with promotion and community engagement before events through posters, social media, church bulletins, and word-of-mouth.
Attend and help facilitate events on-site when possible.
Qualifications
Experience in event planning, coordination, or logistics at any level.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
A collaborative spirit and ability to work across teams and community partners.
Ability to commit 5 to 10 hours per month, with availability for in-person events in the Jane & Finch area.
Minimum 6-month commitment.
